InitiativeThis website was set up to encourage the study and use of the Heidelberg Catechism. The initiator was prof.dr. W. Verboom, attached to the faculty of Theology at Leiden. He works there as a (denominational) professor on behalf of the Gereformeerde Bond (a reformed denomination in the PKN, the Protestant Church of the Netherlands). He holds the chair "History of reformed Protestantism".TargetThe site has been set up to reach the following aims:
Target groupAs we expect the Englishspeaking world to belong to our target group, we have set up this site both in Dutch and in English.DevelopmentThe site has been developed by means of an intensive cooperation of prof.dr. Verboom, the Reformatica foundation and the Novatrix company. Prof. Verboom expressed the wishes and Novatrix built the entire site, that is both the technical and the artistic part. Reformatica was concerned with managing the project and quality control. We are certainly open for comments on the site.CostsThe realization of the site was financially made possible by Reformatica. This foundation sees it as her task to encourage the reformed churches to use the computer in a meaningful way for the good of church life. If you would like to give financial support for this target and - maybe- for this site in particular, we refer to the information on the site of Reformatica: www.reformatica.nlTeam of development |
